425cc vs. 475cc Breast Implants: How Different Are They?

475cc has 50cc more volume per breast than 425cc. That's about 12% more sizer volume, or roughly 3.4 tablespoons per side.

That doesn't mean your breasts will look 12% larger. The percentage describes the volume of the sizer, not your overall breast size. How either volume looks on you depends on your existing breast tissue, chest width, and frame, and after surgery also on implant profile and placement.

Comfort With Being Noticed

Larger sizes can change how people see you, and how you feel being seen. There's no right answer. Some women enjoy a look that gets noticed and feel more confident because of it. Others want a full shape but prefer not to feel on display in everyday settings.

A mirror can't tell you which you are. Only real situations can. That's where wearing sizers in public helps.

The Out-and-About Test

Run an ordinary errand in each size. Go to the grocery store, a coffee shop, or the pharmacy. Notice how you feel walking in, standing in line, and talking with people.

Spend a workday in each size. In your usual work clothes, notice whether you feel confident, self-conscious, or simply like yourself.

Wear each size to something social. A dinner, a party, or time with friends. Notice which size helps you enjoy yourself.

Write one line after each outing. For example: "Felt great." "Felt a little exposed." "Forgot about it completely." Your notes will show a pattern quickly.

Bring your notes to your consultation. They tell your surgeon not just what you like in the mirror, but how you want to feel in daily life.

What About 450cc?

Will 425cc or 475cc Give Me a DD Cup?

There's no reliable conversion between implant volume and cup size. The same volume can look different on two women, and cup sizes vary between bra brands. Oumènta sizers show you external volume under clothing; they can't predict your cup size after surgery.

Why Try Sizes Before Surgery?

In a published study of 567 women, a group who tried silicone implant samples in a bra before surgery generally reported that the preoperative sizing process was helpful. The study used implant samples, not Oumènta sizers, and doesn't show that Oumènta products affect surgical outcomes.
